A picture of our first rose of the year about to bloom... Along with every cottonwood tree in the state, apparently.

Now you're speaking my language.
Grady Sawyer. He was my nearest neighbor growing up. He was a mechanic and at 20+ VW's of different styles at his house/shop all the time. A bug may have been the first stick shift I drove on a road.

I HATE this new format. Communication on it just sucks now. It may be fine for a 12 year old kid but c'mon man.

I don't find the communication dramatically different. What's changed the experience so much for you?
Primarily the difficulty communicating with the emoji choices. Lacking the informative choice is a big one. It just seems really simple to make it like the original choices.
As the old saying goes "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"
Also the loss of formatting choices for words/sentences. Yes, you can use bb code but it is just a hassle vs. previously having the choice at the click of a button (aka user friendly).

This is all very common stuff we deal with for screen generation. All the tools are there, the layout just has to be figured out. When an existing format is available to use it should be a no brainer. This is where the frustrations for myself and others originates.
If they want to paint their white horse grey (a new look) that is fine. But it is foolish to change what had worked well for years.

I hadn't tried formatting. I'm not sure why the tools on the posting screen don't seem to work.

I cleared my cookies and cache for the site, and now formatting works. I can bold, italicize, and such. I don't see list formats any more, though.

had a root canal done this morning.
my face is a little sore.

Tomorrow we have to go to the big city for an appointment. Early.
I guess my face will still be sore.

But not so sore that I have to eat mush. The ribs were good!

Mrs Xue gets root canals without any novocaine or anesthetic.... and then goes back to her office to work.... I have no idea how she does that.... but she has done if twice....also gets no novocaine for fillings....again.... I have no idea how she does that

I have done fillings without.
It helps when you have a dentist who does not wait for it to kick in, by the time it does, he is done.

This round I was glad I had it.
I would have touched the roof a couple of times, I am sure.
And so far, the discomfort is about on par with pre-procedure.
I won't be doing much chewing on it until the permanent crown is put in place.
I lucked out with this bunch of dentists though. All very thorough and conscientious

She had a couple teeth replaced with permanent dentures a few years back. We went to a specialist who was going to put inthe posts. When he came with the anesthesia, Mrs Xue said< I don't want that. The doctors reply was, "The you don't want me to put in the posts"

She had the anethstesia. However since she never gets it, when she is forced to, she gets sick.

Seems she knows she gets sick, hence not wanting it.
I don't think I'd suggest getting implants without it either....knowing what I know about the anatomy of the jaws.

She's a doctor, and still was not for the anesthesia..... frankly... you are not touching my teeth without something numbing things a bit

sometimes knowing things isn't helpful I guess.

The fillings I need these days are too big to do without.
I do salute her though, doing root canals without.
