I hear ya...I stopped by the station last week to say "hi" to my buddy...I wound up answering the phones and dispatching a couple of calls as all hell broke loose...

The call of the night tonight. A woman pulls her car up in front of a restaurant on Main St. in the North end of the city. She leaves it running while she goes in. During that time, someone gets in and drives away with her 04 Altima. She asks the officer if stuff like that happens all the time. Umm...hello!!! Sorry, but I dont care what part of town you're in...shut the car off, remove the keys and lock the doors!! Needless to say, her husband wasn't too happy when he had to come to pick her up.

Happened up here to a guy got out of his 07 Caddy and walked about 20 steps to place videos in the night slot...And drivers get a case of the *** when we lecture them and threaten to cite them for it...

Well we got the room thanks to a LEO buddy..Booked GMP's room and Father Greek should be getting the address labels later this week from ICHF HQ....I've been e-mailing EVER copper that has ever expressed an interest in training...

Sorry...but the only time I leave my car running and unattended is when it's either in front of my house or parked outside my office window at my job out here in the boondocks...sheesh....

Sorry...but the only time I leave my car running and unattended is when it's either in front of my house or parked outside my office window at my job out here in the boondocks...sheesh....

Well, there is a bright side to this. They just came across the car. Of course nobody was in it.

As for leaving the car running, I have a remote starter on both vehicles, so I start it, the doors stay locked, and I have a nice toasty car in the winter or a nice cool one in the summer.
