Yeah that was a great find. I remember them very well. It was nice to go back into my memory and remember a happy time in my life.

Do you or did you know or meet them? Just curious as to how you knew them.

No...wish I did. Just heard of them by reputation. The clip was actually sent to me by a friend of mine. I thought it fit the thread nicely :D

Well.. Donald was very humble and quiet. Ronald was cocky and brash. They looked identical, but I believe Ronald was in the heavier weight division. Both very talented martial artists and good kids. Mr. Xavier, i never met, but remember watching him compete. He was also very good. Don't believe some in that thread that talk about them just being glorified tag players. I was and still am close to popping off at them about that.

Well...what I saw on the video wasn't glorified tag. ;)

No it wasn't. I was there for quite a few too. However, like all of the "posers" in these forums, who talk behind a screen, they wouldn't say that stuff, say, if Ronald were standing in front of them. Like I said in the thread, those who were fodder for those guys back then are always the ones that try and degrade what was done. They always say "well that was a game of tag" "if I got them for real it would be different" They do it to make themsleves feel better. Those guys were part of the cream of the crop back then. In the ring, or outside, the result would've been the same for those clowns!

Fodder for the good fighters...and this is one reason why I personally am not fond of a lot of kids programs...you get kids in class because mommy wants them to learn respect and discipline...and they grow in to adults that become resentful of their training.

Yep. A lot of those former kids populate places like this now too.

MMMmmmmmHmmmmm. That they do.

It's a lack of focus, too. I tried Aikido once, it wasn't my thing. I tried FMAs, the are my thing. But my FMA training doesn't improve by bashing Aikido. Bashing other arts doesn't show good martial discipline, IMO.
