Never had one but heard they were tasty with a good white sauce. KIDDING! Wish everybody could get together, that would be a blast.

Good place for it... that would be anywhere but here. LOL. Although my thoughts go out to Kacey and her neighbors while they are trying to dig out from the mess that fell. That aspect of it I wouldn't wish on anybody.
Yeah... although I will say snow melts really quickly at altitude; it's 20 degrees here and the snow is melting - sublimation is great!
Thanks... I had to go out and pick up a prescription for a new inhaler (my asthma's been acting up like never before, damn it), which, of course, the pharmacy was out of when I tried to get it on Thursday before the most recent snow hit. I got stuck getting out of my driveway (got out okay, but couldn't turn into the street), and 2 of my neighbors kindly helped me back into my driveway; spent 30 minutes digging the street out so I could back and turn, got onto the street, and got stuck again... same 2 neighbors, plus 1 more, pushed me around the corner and halfway down the block til I got going enough to make it to the nearest plowed street (3 blocks away). Then I got stuck 3 hours later coming back in (damn corners anyway; I was okay until I had to turn) but I was able to get out of that one myself. There is nothing like the really stupid feeling you get when you're stuck 30 feet from your driveway...:idunno:

Oh I can think of one feeling that is worse. Try getting stuck at the end of your driveway with the snow under your vehicle packed TIGHT all because you were in too big of a hurry to take 5 minutes with the snowblower and clear it out. Then having to fight for an hour to get the frigging thing back into the driveway enough you can then clear the drive like you should have to begin with.
Not that I would know... it was something I read about in Snow Blows mag. Yeah, thats it; I read it somewhere.
Well, I understand wanting 4 wheel drive... but I must say that I've had this car for 12 years, it has front-wheel drive, and this is the first time it's ever gotten stuck... and I don't own a snowblower; snow melts relatively quickly in Denver, and I've never really felt like I needed one. Maybe at the end of season sales.... I'll have to think about it.

Actually the biggest difference that I have found is in what tires you run in snow. I don't care what they say on the side, "all season" is only for all the seasons if you live in Flordia or Alabama. A dedicated "severe service" snow rating is way, way better than the best all-season. The best tire I have ever ran in the snow is the WinterFire made by Firestone I think. I know the name of the tire is Winter Fire though and if you can run studs in Denver they are unbeatable. A wider size choice is and also a great tire is the Nokian Hakkapeliitta series.
