Wisdom from sage grandfatha, "Use Snowblower"

Grandfatha sounds like a wise man..

That's great advice... but it only works if you actually own a snowblower - and I don't. The closest I get is a neighbor child who wants money, but she's lined up to shovel for another neighbor who's out of town - lined up by me, so I don't have to shovel both properties!

Kacey, how bad is it coming down? I have a friend and his wife who are flying through Denver in an hour or so and has been having a minor fit about getting stuck there during their 3 hour lay-over.

It's coming down pretty steady, but it's not supposed to be more than 2-5 inches before this evening. The best forecasts and tracking I've see are on 9news, the local NBC affiliate.

Buy a snowblower?

We could take up a collection call it, "Snow keeps falling but blowing it around is hard Winter 2006." Help Kacey put an end to his Soilent White problems. Contribute to the move snow from here to over there fund today!

Thanks for the info. They are flying out to Washington to see their new Granddaughter for the first time. He has been playing the trip down, but I think he is more excited than his wife. For the last 2 weeks, all I've heard is that it better not be snowing in Denver when they get to their long lay-over. :)

As for us up here in the middle of nowhere, we finally have snow on the ground. I have spent 18 winters up here off and on, and can say this is the first time I can remember we had a green Christmas. The boys are having a great time and I finally had to fire up my snow blower last night after work. :(

Thanks... you can make those out to "Kacey's Vacation Fund"... I mean "Snowblower Fund"... yeah, that's it... sure... :)

Uh... hmm... consult your tax advisor for advice - but I'll be happy to supply receipts!

And what will the reciept say, something like this

You dummy you just gave me enough money to go to the Bahama's for a week

Possibly but I doubt there would be bitching about snow fall in denver if all our donations went to the I was on a nice beach fund.

Either way :) we end up not hearing about it ;)

All the snow we had this morning was completely gone by noon. We are off to a very easy winter so far. (we need snow, please send some to Michigan)

<mad scrambling for the biggest window envelope you ever saw> I would love to! Honestly the boys have been awaiting this from the moment the last snow pile melted last April/May, so I couldn't do that to them even if it were feasible. One of the things we used to convince them it was a good move to come back here from West Michigan was how much more snow we got here.

So far we are pretty snow free in Michigan this winter. There are even a few spots that have had almost no snow at all.
