Without sounding ignorant can I ask if are you Hindu??

No I am a christian. (episcopal) However in Alma we have a lot of foreign doctors from all over the world. We also have a large Indian population and a good majority of them are hindu. So we get invited to all of their celebrations as well. It is a beautiful celebration and great food. I always look forward to it.

Father Greek is gonna ride with me on patrol Halloween night...He wanted to stop for a steak prior to going on duty..No way...

That would make for a difficult night of getting in and out of the car. Plus heaven forbid that you had to chase someone or have a real physical arrest.

No problem at all. My wife comes from Kerela which is on the south west side of India. Think of palm trees and heat. It is a truly beautiful place. Their population in this state is about 1/3 rd each of Hindu, Christian and muslim. (hindus definately have little bigger population but that is pretty close) It is a very nice mix and everybody seems to get along well. It also helps that it is a very, very educated state. With more than 98 % literacy rate. Everyone goes to school and they are really smart people.

Having said that she is all American as she lived almost her entire life here in the States.

I'm not nobody - I was out shaking snow off my trees; it's a little early yet for snow in Denver, and some of my trees still have most of their leaves - the smallest one was pretty bowed over, and I had to go rescue it. Also, I had to clean out my vegie garden enough to pick the pumpkins.
