I've worked 12-hour nights for longer than some posters have been alive, and I still don't drink coffee. I think coffee smells lovely.

Tastes like *** though.
Diet Mt Dew, however, is mana. I'd mainline the stuff, if I wasn't worried about the carbonation causing a gas embolus...

I never drank coffee until I started the 12 hour night shifts (5 years now)... now I can't get off it... I only drink water, milk and coffee...no soda
