Jianbing(kind of a Chinese pancake) was my (almost)daily breakfast on the go heading for morning class during my two years in Beijing
Interesting lunch today. On this back street in Tokyo, find a little noodle house that makes its own udon and soba. So i order udon with pork and egg, it was delicious. Leave there, on this back street in Tokyo, turn the corner, and in the middle of all the Japanese businesses and restaurants there sits a Norwegian Bakery…. I didn’t go in, but it was quite the surprise to see a red shop with a Norwegian flag 🇳🇴 in the window

Saw Meiji Jingu today (shinto shrine)

Also saw something here in Tokyo that i did not see in Taipei or Hong Kong . A Harley Davidson
Back some 15 years ago when I lived in Dalian(China) there was a HD club that gathered every Sunday cruising the city, they had a HD bar too that was nice.
There was also a Hummer car club that occasionally cruised around the city some of those made into so called monster trucks, a crazy sight.

Those norsemen goes Viking even in Japan.

As I spoke of Dalian, there used to be a Viking bar too, run by the Norwegians that worked at the Norwegian shipping company that had a big office in that city

It’s really interesting what one bump into from all over the world when living in East Asia

In Beijing there was a danish restaurant at the Sanlitun called “smushi” a combo of smörrebröd(danish sandwiches) and sushi, don’t know if it’s still there

What do found interesting my first trip to Beijing was a bakery. In the USA we have Chinese bakeries. However that same exact bakery in Beijing was called the American Bakery. My wife then took me to her favorite Chinese bakery, it was entirely different, delicious, but different

If it matters, purely from what you've shared on here I'm confident you are better than 90% of people.

About you being a coward, you are not. When I was younger I attempted suicide, had a knife to my neck, but couldn't put enough pressure to actually do it - I thought I was a coward then. I was not. I've helped many people in the decade since, and just knowing you from this forum, I'm sure you've helped many others.

If you ever need anyone to talk to, feel free to message me. If you need someone to talk you down when you're at your worst, I'll give you my phone number as well, along with a certainty that I am not being bothered by your messages. I guarantee I would rather get a call from you while I'm asleep or busy, then one day realize you haven't posted and not knowing why.

You are loved, you are an amazing person who has only shown compassion on this site, and you deserve to life a life that you enjoy.
God bless you too

I don’t fly 14, to a 16 hours for and American breakfast like toast, bacon and eggs…. But then I would drive 15 minutes for bacon, I don’t like bacon

Beijing was best for me, jianbing every morning
There you go, hating on bacon again...

The fact that you flew 14 hours and they served bacon should tell you how good bacon is!

A while back early 2000, every Morning before practice in Beijing, used to eat this from a local food cart vendor

On teaching, I'm not. It does not feel right and basically, I just don't want to deal with it at this time

Looking to expand my Wing Chun training. Looking to revisit my Baguazhang. Still going to work on my taijiquan, and depending on my shoulder, I may go work with some Aikido people for a little bit this summer.
Dang it!

This afternoon was a day I knew was coming... but wasn't looking forward to at all. We rescued a pit bull named Buster about 12 years ago, and he's been a good dog. He was about 4 when we rescued him, and he was as gentle as you could want to our then-4 year old. Loved to fetch a ball, and go for hikes. But -- he was 16, ancient for a big dog. The last few months, he's been going downhill, and today was finally the day to say good bye.
I’m terribly sorry to hear this. My most sincere sympathies are with you.

My mental health has taken a turn for the worse. No real reason, I just get depression from time to time. I was actually looking up how much of my medication I would need to take to cause an overdose yesterday. I hate this, I really do. I hate the spineless, idle coward it turns me into.
I really hope you feel better. I look forward to your posts. You have a lot to offer, remember that people appreciate you.

Ok. There is a whole argument for pressure fighting for self defence.

Here is the argument for out fighting. And effectively sparring.

Also over in seconds.

The brunette stayed cool and pieced the blonde up real nice. Footwork and pacing won the day.
