I myself wasnāt pioneering, very far from it, but I was greatly inspired by those guys who truly were. That's awesome though, I wish I'd had the stones to do that, I just trained in this country in the next town. I'm very, very grateful to the pioneering generation who went out to bring karate here from Japan. Without guys like you, we wouldn't have anywhere to train whatsoever.
When I was five or six years old a colleague of my dads had come back after some time in Japan, a visit at his home he had a Japanese sword displayed, he showed its sharpness by slicing a sheet of paper, I was amazed by its sharpness and its beauty , he had also done some lendo there in Japan, thatās what set my compas toward the far east and its martial arts, but when I finally came to Japan I was there just a short while, sometimes kind of regret i didnāt stay longer opportunity was there but I didnāt jump on it, really why I donāt know, but on my way to there I had come in contact with other things, such as China, maybe life already from beginning is a set journey
