I have to agree with loving to drive as well. I used to just "go" whenever, to wherever. If I had a 3 day week-end, there were times I would take off and see where I was in 36 hours, then turn around and head home. Kind of hard to do with kids and gas prices now, but, man was that fun.

Yep, I know it well..That was the Fear Factor I mentioned..It puts us in fear for the well being of out bottoms...

Yep, that's the one. One of Mom's favorite stories is right after they had my Sister (the oldest) she brought home a book by Dr. Spock. Dad was flipping through it that night and found a passage where the advice was that if your child had drawn on the walls not to spank them because it would warp their personalities, but instead to praise them for such a nice drawing. Dad flung the book into the fireplace with the comment, "personalities my ***, I'll warp someting else." Kind of summed it up right there.

Yea what is it about parent and that look they give, my parent had it and now I have it my son's know when I give that special look they better be doiing everything right

Thankfully I still have the Harley for those warm Summer months when the "wanderlust" hits..

Man you are lucky with the Harley. Plus being in the middle of the States, it isn't more than a couple of days drive to anywhere in the Lower 48. Up here it is a 6 hour drive just to get out of Maine. 36 hours will get you to Kansas City from here.

I dunno..I've encountered a lot of kids whose parents never culivated "the look"..

The problem is, to develop that look, you have to be ready to back-up the look when given. If not, it just another idle threat that the kiddos know means not Jack-squat.

Well got to go for now. Funny how the groceries can't buy themselves, and eating has become a habit, so.... Everybody have a great day and try to stay out of trouble.
