Uh oh! It's been over a decade, and no end in sight. What else did you hear?
I don't want to be an alarmist or anything... it's just that I've read some stuff in some of the science mags I subscribe to that suggest an increase in prostate difficulties for guys who do late night shift work. The crucial variable seems to be exposure to high light levels during parts of the day when the body is programmed for sleep and low light. It seems to be associated with hormonal irregularities triggered by the overlong exposure to light. I've also read that a new wave of research on melatonin `suggests' that taking it may help offset the effects... but who knows how sound any of this stuff really is, you know?
