Hey Drac, here is the wikipedia archery entry it is pretty comprehensive and has alot of external links to different styles.

Besides western archery I have also had the opportunity to study seriously some Korean Archery. This is a very different style and extremely hard (at least to me) because of the thumb drawing and
releasing method. It is however beautiful and fun.
