I might do that, but I take my chili very seriously. Make my own chili powder and all that. I'll dig up some recipies for ya if you'd like.

Damn you DO take your chili as seriously as I take my sauce..I love going to chili cook offs, I've had some EXCELLENT chili over the years...

I can't belive I am going to post this next sentence, if my brother every reads this he is going to give me SOOOO much grief. I have a world class B-B-Que recipe for your chili powder Jeff. God how low have I sunk, trading recipies on a MA forum, I can feel the manhood getting sucked right out of the room. LOL Actually I take pride in my ability to cook a killer meal and even though everybody I know gives me holy heck about it, they all come over when I call.

I take my red sauces pretty seriously as well. Here's a little trick for ya, try broiling the tomatoes for a few minutes before running them through a food mill. Really brings out the flavour!

Evening Kacey and Byland!

Oh, and btw Byland, I used some of my GI Bill to go to culinary school.

Think a sec about it, fire and knives? What's not masculine about cooking?

It is hard to beat a fantastic bowl of chili with some great bread along with it!

I didn't actually graduate. I would have had to take a lot of classes I wasn't interested in paying for to do that.

Now being a Pastry Chef/Cook, that's hard work! Too exacting for my tastes.

Ohhhh and I could not give up the VanCise family chili recipe. Not unless you were a VanCise. Otherwise...........

However if you ever want to try some you just need to come up!

My grandmother was a certified cordon bleu chef, but my grandfather was a meat and potatoes eater, so she didn't use it much... but she did teach me how to cook!

That's it, supper tomorrow! Gives me the afternoon to make a good hearty potato bread to go with a slow cooked chili. Oh my mouth is watering already in anticipation.
Making bread is the only kind of baking I can stand. Or do well for that matter!
