I'm comin over for dinner..I haven't had homemade potato bread in years..
Imagine that! However he started all of this earlier in the day.

I'm pretty good with bread. I can manage simple cookies as well. But if I try a cake (other than cheesecake) it invariably comes out way too dry.I buy mine fresh baked. However I have them work off of my recipe!

Bread and pies are about the only baking I enjoy. I have been told I should be a large southern old granny because of my pecan, sweet potato, and shoo-fly pies. I would make one damn ugly old woman, do have the fat part down pat though.
Cake is really hard to do well! It takes a special touch. (particularly a grandmotherly touch)

Try soaking them in a pork gravy with sausage, they go down real good

You and me both..When I make the sauce I stop by the bakery in Little Italy and pick up homemade bread and cannoli...
I had cheesecake with dinner tonight. I had to make up for that by only having salad with dinner :angel:
