Toasted tea cake update; two periods on ā€˜defrost’ setting on my Dualit toaster produces the perfect degree of toasting. One still has to watch the little b*ggers?!

Post gym: I’m sore especially my thighs, glutes, hamstrings and pecsšŸ˜®ā€šŸ’Ø I might as well just ā€˜go for it’ on Monday. I can’t envisage it being anymore painful!

I’m staring down that same barrel on Sunday. I haven’t been training since the hospital. Next week it’s time to pay the price.

That's magical! Love the idea.

I think I saw you but not sure!

Yeah. I really had an amazing time. It was surprising how therapeutic engaging in whimsy was.

Went to a large tribal gathering and had to be prevented from leaving with my Aunt's dog. He is a sheltie and he loves cuddles.
Also, I keep looking for ways to jazz up my workout, but really nothing works as well as just the little thing I wrote for myself with the timed sets and kata. So I'm gonna stick to that for the time being. In adddition to either a mile of running, a two mile walk or five rounds on the bag five days a week. If it ain't broke, don't fix it

OK so my cousin did some family history research as a 70th birthday present for his mum. Which is really lovely and thoughtful of him, but apparently the best way to trace your ancestors is looking for petty crimes that they committed and apparently one of them was driving an unlicensed lorry and dad was like 'Oh, so that's where the lorry came from' and tbh the wierd thing about talking to auntie Olive was how often she'd confess to quite serious crimes on which the statute of limitations has expired and.... yeah, he had a lot of stuff to look up

After awhile of not working out it hits hard after that first session. I try to get 2-3 in a week, usually with a recovery day in between. Most of it is cardio and calisthenics though. Have a good rest

On Saturday, I virtually needed help lowering myself into a chair and a wheelchair to get around.

I’ve recovered now and am going into the gym this morning. I will be following a low volume (2-3 sets), high intensity (exercise to failure) regime.

Starting retirement process this week, filling out paperwork. At this time there is a strong possibility that my first day of retirement will be the last of October

@Steve if he pops back online sometime
Congratulations, now you will have so much time to practice martial arts once you are healed up. I am at the point now that I know I will practice for the rest of my life. It has helped get back into shape and I love to do it.
