Yet again I persist in trying to draw from observation

Mrs Xue is in Changdu, and I just realized that this is the first time in over 20 years that I am alone. Prior to this, if Mrs Xue was in China, the kids were home, my mother was around, but last June my mother passed away and the kids, 1 is away in college and the other is away in his first job.....So.... I decided, to go to Maine. And it is raining really hard here at teh moment. Hopefully it lets up and I can take a walk along the Atlantic ocean...

So, I think I will go do some Baduanjin

I can't take my medication for a while because I tried to commit suicide with it, so I'll be off for a few days. The bulgarian being that I can't sleep without it. So I apologise in advance for any posts that are wierder than usual.

Take care of yourself, and find yourself a good in-person support system. Some things are too much to handle alone.

Just had lunch with my best friend from high school and years afterwards too. Had not seen him in years, talk through text, but not actually seen. It was awesome, had a great time

Ah, endorphins. The high you can feel smug about. Mostly passai and chinto tonight. Need to get on and build a new makiwara. TBH, I thinka 4"x4" piece of lumber sawn diagonally lengthwise would do the job.

Also, in normal hours Imma call NHS 111 option 1 for mental health. I need to be responsible and contact the local team.

What is it people do when they have a day of not working, worshipping or exercising? I've forgotten

You know… it may be time for a break frim MT… somethings are getting tiresome… getting tired of the same argument over and over again…. Maybe I’ve stayed to long…. Or maybe i just need a break… long or short, i don’t know.

I do know that many times i log on out of habit, or to kill time, possibly an addiction ….taken breaks before, some long, some short… i will still see PMs, i get email alerts for those

If over the years i had trained martial arts as much as i have posted on MT I’d be a martial arts god by now… i have things to train and running out if time to train them

So, TTFN

this did not happen on MT…. when in a bit of a heated discussion …. You all of a sudden realize… the other person has no clue whatsoever as to what they are talking about…..but yet they dig in their heels, refuse to admit their clueless, and keep on spouting ridiculousness…..including use of words they really don’t understand to sound smart…..but just make it more obvious they have no clue whatsoever

Welcome to my day….. I need to go home…or retire…. Not sure which one
Retirement’s overrated. I’ve done it three times so far. And I’m still working.

I will be pretty busy. Working a lot on Taijiquan, auditing college classes for Mandarin, spending time in China, about a month (hopefully working on taijiquan, (not Yang style), also spending at least one Chinese New Year in China, and going to Maine (off season only).

When home my wife has plans for me to clean up the basement. And sometimes in the first year moving my youngest from her current college to her college for grad school. And there is enough yard work to keep me busy all summer long.

The only thing where reality hit me right in the face, was my thinking I have time, go try some BJJ, continue working on Wing Chun, ado some Aikido, and maybe even give Kyokushin a try… then reality said…your old, arthritic, have one bad knee and on fake knee, eye issues, have been told by a doctor that a grappling art would be a bad idea, and another doctor getting hit in the head is not a good idea for my potential retina issues….

So… focus on taijiquan…and all its wonderful aspects… although I have not yet given up on the possibility of Aikido

OK so I've been at a low ebb for about a week. Feeling tearful, back on the feel awful>do less>feel worse treadmill. So I'm going to force myself through a gruelling workout.

yay happy chemicals! I now feel capable of going to work! at 15.25 when I've already called in sick. It seems I now have to do these little workouts to remain relatively sane
