Cutting out at 2pm instead of 3pm. Sometimes an hour makes all the difference.

Okay, today hit both. About 20F this morning. Currently 68F. This is ridiculous!Weather has been crazy around here. Every week lately we've had at least one night below 20, and one day that at least reached 64.
Zombie. Didnt I tell you guys I'm walking dead?well it has not killed me yet, and I'm sorry to hear...hey...wait a minute...if it killed you...how is it that you are posting![]()
I can imagine. The Countryman is supposed to be good in snow, per advertising.Lol. So guys. Mini Cooper s. Not a great snow car. Just saying.![]()
We've been threatening that for the last few years, Steve. If I could've afforded it, we'd definitely have done so. If I get this job I'm looking at, we'll definitely have one before next year, as this is the first year (in the 6 we've been here) that we didn't have an outage that lasted 2 full days.Just waiting for the power to come back. Its been out since 6am. Hoping this isn't another multiday deal.
I think I'm going to invest in a generator.
I love watching that. My favorite is when someone brings something in just to find out the story behind it, the expert starts saying things like, "And you can see here this has been repaired. It would be worth more if it had been left damaged." Then after a bit more information, they casually tell them the piece is highly desirable and worth about $18,000 at auction. I love the confused pleasure on their faces, like, "Wait...but you said...."I'm kind of addicted to the antiques roadshow. People have some cool, old stuff.
There are a few common types. There are the guys who think they have something really valuable, and are disappointed when it's only worth a small fortune. A guy had a 1928 team signed Yankees ball. 22 signatures including babe Ruth. It was "only" with about $35,000. He was disappointed because he thought it could be worth 4 times that.I love watching that. Yeah, I feel sorry for the folks who over-spend, too. Though I actually feel worse, for some reason, for those who think they have an old family heirloom from their great-great-great-uncle, and find out it can't be more than 100 years old. There are a few common types. There was another guy on who had an eagle sculpture he paid $1200 for, and it is worth about $200. I feel bad for those guys.
And then, there are those who are blown away. A lady had a deco lighter worth like $4000.
Oh, yeah. That doesn't happen too often, though. Thankfully.Yeah, I feel sorry for the folks who over-spend, too. Though I actually feel worse, for some reason, for those who think they have an old family heirloom from their great-great-great-uncle, and find out it can't be more than 100 years old.
