What Is This? (Three Guesses) in pics.

I think donna has it right, it's a penguin colony

This looks like one of Spencer Tunick's projects. Maybe not... since I don't think he has worked with that many. My next vote is a penguin colony.

My first thought was one of those enormous flocks of flamingos but the environment looked wrong as they go for huge shallow lakes in Africa.

The second shot convinced me that we're looking at a penguin colony - I'm so sure that I'd put money on it (Casino Cash obviously) .

Why am I so sure? Because I retain odd facts from old documentaries that I watch and I think what we're looking at here is a 'breeding season' shot; the brown areas are young pengies .

Bingo for Donna who got it right! There were too many folks to sustain Donna's guess that it was pretty much over. Here's even a closer look.
Amazing huh... go back to the original photo and just try to imagine the numbers.
