I do feel it's good for others to show their work in helping to clarify or make a point,
have asked others to do so in the past....most do not....

Not something I'm interested in....
just found it strange for someone to assume something, without
being the example...or making it clear.
My work for those interested has been posted here, and on my blogg.
Find it helps clarifying what is written...
They are few posters who show their work often "@Kung Fu Wang " comes to mind.

even though I may not always agree with his approach, it is something that helpsto understand his view point..
In this day and age, with cell phones ect, feel it would be more helpful if others posted their work..

No he doesn't, and that's the problem. This was clearly explained in the OP in both places and clarified later in the threads.
What Xue said was insulting and trollish. It did cross a line, only in that Xue is one of the few posters here I had respect for.
In order to bring yourself to come out and talk to me the way he did and accuse me of being evasive and having something to be ashamed of, you would have to believe that I somehow had something to gain by making a similar challenge elsewhere, that I was a complete and total liar and had nefarious instead of good intentions, AND that I was stupid enough not to be aware that everyone was also on that other forum and that they would not immediately notice, thus falling into some sort of trap. That is how he brought himself to insult me like he did in his 2nd post to this thread. EIther that, or he is simply a mistrusting, disrespectful person.
In the 'heated' DM he refers to, I explained to him that I was upset he said that and that he should either make a concrete accusation against me or apologize. He responded by saying I needed to check my ego at the door.
I am not at all surprised that the usual suspects here who have posted the most, would never have joined such a challenge in the first place. It threatens them. You may have valid reasons to think this is not a good idea or not to want to join. But personal mistrust or some paranoid sense of delusion that people are nefarious shouldn't be one of them, especially given the bounds of this contest and the clear and ongoing space that was given to discuss the way the contest could work. I myself don't like posting videos of myself online. I was challenging myself here, in a way. But instead of working together to make this work, certain people decided to try to interrupt it and slow it down. I am not at all heated because of that. It is merely a great disappointment to me.

You have quite the chip on your shoulder there.... trolling, no..... And? means nothing (note his answer to my questions was "And?"

This is one of those threads that OP did not ask for different opinions. OP didn't say this thread is open for discussion. I don't know what's the forum policy for this kind of threads. It's not a discussion thread and that's for sure.

If someone asks others to participate in something, you’d think they’d set the example first.
In the original post, I didn’t see that — which makes the request feel a little off.
For me clips of ones work, helps in understanding where they'er coming from...

I strongly encourage everybody to record your MA video when you are still young. Whether you intend to share to others or not, at least you have a good record for your best MA skills.

I guess most if not all on here have sort of been through the kind of “challenge” you wish to start here, I think you know this already, we all been in to this for some time and already mastered stuff, such as form gotten formless, sparring a walk in the park…..
If we are teachers we should be more concerned with student’s progress, there videoing could be truly valid as way of following their progress rather than asking for pics and vids of one’s already advanced friends.
