Well, as I tell my Sifu, I'm always sore, somedays are better than others, but I'm 'always' sore ... LOL

Had a great class last night, signed up another ex-student from my last school, a brown belt. He loved the class and I was thinking it to be mediocre. The people are loving all the changes being implemented with the integration of more kung fu concepts.

Last night was my first night back in the dojo. I just went in for sparring class and what a sparring class it was. Frickin intense and for my first day back my instructor was complementing me asking how much i worked my stuff when i was off, my answer was...not as much as you would think.

Thats awesome that everyone is enjoying the classes, seems like Im not the only one that is going to have a good 2008

Darn good to hear, about your sparring. One thing that I believe is very important in training is visualization skills. I am an ex-athlete that was raised on visualizing what was going to happen. I do this in the martial arts as well. There are times when I can't workout whether for injury, time or just plain no space! I visualize during those times. If you don't already do so, try it, it does work.

when you say visualize do you mean that you see someone on the street, anyone doesnt matter, and you picture them attacking you a certain way. Then depending on the senario in your head you visualize you different defenses?

Yes, that is part of it and I always win! I also use it just doing techniques, forms, sparring, all aspects ... even turn them all around, left-handed. Visualize the techniques against various attacks, right-cross, uppercut, shoulder grab, lapel grab, etc. Can you make them work?
