Good morning 14 and how is the New Year treating you?

So far it's been lazy times, but I have people working today at the school ... yes, that's the truth ... LOL ... and I have a future student that wants to see the place, so I'll be taking off for that as well. There's only one game that interests me today, that being the Rose Bowl. I'm a huge USC fan.

How are things with you this AM, Terry?

Happy 2008 LPT'ers!
I hope everyone enjoys a restful day today. I supposed to head up north for my Dad's birthday but the snow is pretty heavy right now and I might have to take a "snow check".

How is everyone this fine morning? Are you getting snow where you are????

Happy 2008 to you too!

Things are good so far ... snow in San Diego? What is that? We're lucky when we get a drizzle

San Diego! Oh, now I am really really jealous! I visited once and really enjoyed everything save the LA pollution which somehow made it's way over. I love that mild weather. But there is something to be said for a nice snow storm in the Northeast.

I am looking forward to a January trip to Ft. Lauderdale or somewhere in south Florida. I need to see some pretty ocean and palm trees. :)

No need to be jealous, but yes, the weather is mild. Yeah, I guess the LA smog may find its way down here on occasion, but I haven't noticed it. Coming from Orange County, the smog down here is very minor if ever, at least where I am located.

You are correct, there is something to be said for a good snowstorm, but I enjoy those while on vacation and not when trying to get to work or a workout ... LOL

Good point. At least most of the Northerners know how to drive in the snow. I lived in Maryland for 18 years where people freaked out over any little snow storm which caused accidents. It's nice to be in a place where people know how to drive in the snow. :)

Thanks, 14K, and the same to you!

We got 16 inches in 2 different storms last week. Now, if we could just get out of the single digits, life would be good... but the current temperature is 9 F.

Weren't there some avalanche issues over by you? Scary stuff!

I'm jealous! We need some real snow here.

Coming from NY and having lived in many places across the U.S., I know just what you mean!

I just read about that--people trapped by the threat of avalanches?

That was up in the mountains, around the ski areas, several hours drive from here. Not a whole lot of avalanches in Denver; we're not even quite in the foothills, at least not until to you get to the western suburbs.

I want all of the snow that is coming to us to be forwarded to Arnisador. He can have all of it. I hate driving in that snow. I live in an area where no one can drive in it. How is one supposed to drive a car on that stuff?

Its crazy! No, we do not need that snow here! Haha!

It will be "crash-em up derby" time if we get it. -- no joke, around here you get MANY car wrecks, and then the radio people start reporting where they are, and say, "If you have a collision, just exchange phone numbers with the other party and go on your way, because the police are not responding to non-injury accidents".

The police get overwhelmed by car wreck runs and have to give up, no joke.

I cannot stay and chat as I have a date with some Kettlebell's! See you all on the flip side!

Dude, we need it here in Indiana! It'll melt into water and while we're no Atlanta we have had some drought issues.

Several black ice accidents on I-70 here yesterday though...

NewGuy you need some snow! Admit it you love the snow. I know that I do and we got a little last night!
