Good for you, then hopefully it's relaxation time!

I actually have contractors working today at the new school, so I'll have to spend a little time there today.

Cool that sounds awesome!

LOL ... one would think, but no, just got lucky and hired a general contractor that thus far has been everywhere he says he'll be when he's suppose to be ... hope I didn't just jinx it ... LOL

Cool!

How much contractor work do you have going on?

Quite a bit, let's see ... in the dojo, sophets on three walls; 80' of mirrors along one wall; 4' x 80' OSB on another wall; shelving on a third wall and 3000 square feet of mat. In the office/waiting room area, removinf three walls, adding a private office, locker room and shower for the instructors. Some other things such as lighting up the entry and sign. I'm sure things are being forgotten ... LOL

What kind of mats are you going with?

See the attached photos of my Training Hall!

With all the weapons/tool based training that
we do we could never have mirrors. (sometimes
things just go flying)

I use a 2" dense / high impact foam roll out type of mat. They are covered on one side with a very fine smooth rug type of surface. They roll out the full length of both my dojo floors. I lay them side by side snd use velcro to hold them in place. Each roll is 6' wide.
Doing it this way I can run the Karate and kickboxing class then rum the Jujitsu classes.
Works good for me.

Nice ... I looked at something comparable, but it was more than twice the price and I just couldn't swing it at this time. Maybe in the future.

14 Kempo Puzzle mats work great for everything except for throwing techniques. I roll out 2 1/2 folding mats for that similar to what LawDog does.
