I feel your pain... believe me! I, on the other hand, am grading math... done by 7th graders... in a 3rd grade book... and most of them are averaging around 70%... and then there are the easy to grade ones - the ones that have been absent, or thought I didn't notice they weren't working, and didn't do anything - but at least it's really easy to grade when it's blank! Depressing... but easy.
Heh, I was grading sophomore level differential equations, but some of it was done at the 3rd grade level too! My section of advanced freshmen beat my section of delayed sophomores (i.e., have failed a math. course already) by 12 points! That's a huge difference for me.
Well my littlest guy played in a soccer game today and he was really playing hard. He almost scored three goals. (they were all close) When he played goalie he shut the other team down even though they were coming really hard and had a lot of opportunities. He stopped around ten shots or so.
Best of all the little seven year old enjoyed himself.
