So as I sit and watch all these kids I am reminded of my training when I was there age, man how time flys.

Not bad. My school district has an email intranet, and set aside one section as the "marketplace" - another teacher in my district got a better iPod for XMas, and listed her iPod nano (2 gig) for $85... so I am now getting ready to play with my new toy!

That's awesome Kacey! I hope you enjoy! Let me know how you like it, I think I must acquire an iPod (or similar sort of device) soon.

Hey HS! Nice to see you this early in the evening :) How are you liking your new internet service?

It's pretty good. Although, every so often, it goes into a dormant stage, and freezes up, forcing me to log out, then back in.

I will - right now, it's synchronizing and charging. Actually, it's fully synched, but since I don't know how much battery power it had stored, I'm going to leave it hooked up for a while and ignore it as long as it keeps flashing "charging" at me.

Yes it is. It says it's connected still, but, in a dormant mode, when that happens. It's very frustrating. What's the fix?

Uninstall your current software, and re-download it from this page.

What's stalling you out isn't the Verizon connectivity, its that horribe Venturi software. The new client doesn't use that dang thing. I think it's faster, too. :D

Sounds like a plan! Ohhh you must be so thrilled...that is going to be a fun toy!

O.K. How do I do that? How does it affect my service? Will I have to pay more?

Go to the page, answer the questions about which version of windows you are using and which device you have, and your reason for downloading.

Choose - older version and need to upgrade. Download the software on to your PC (be sure you removed the older software first) and then install.

It doesn't affect your service or how much you are charged. The only thing you are doing is making a change to the software on your PC. It's the software that is making your connection stall. :)
