Woohoo!!!! We get an extra day off!!! My department chair just called and told me that they haven't gotten all the snow cleared away from the buildings, and many of the side streets are too clogged for the buses, so we get tomorrow off!!!

Per the district website:

Reason for closure: Due to safety concerns related to the snowstorms over winter break, all schools are closed Tuesday, Jan. 2. All administrative staff still need to report for duty.

Per an email sent by the superintendent:

All district personnel,
Schools will be closed on Tuesday, January 2nd due to weather-related conditions. The walk paths and bus stops are still very congested with snow, and not safe for our students. Only administrative staff, including all principals, assistant principals and ESC administrators should report to work tomorrow. All others, including teachers, paras, etc., should not report to work. There are some exceptions and supervisors will communicate that to those individuals.

It's days like these that make me so glad I'm not an administrator!
