Hello everybody. How is the day treating you so far? Getting the Ruffians set to take them to Grandma and Grandpa's house for Sunday lunch. It's nice having family close again.

I have some excellent memories of visiting my Grandparents..The Ruffians will keep and cherish that memory for many years to come...

Got stuck directing traffic for another department while they moved one of these old houses from one location to another on a VERY cold bitter day...The OIC ( Officer In Charge) did a coffee run and gave everybody a cup...No cream, no sugar but I was so cold I didn't care..The only time in my lfe I ever drank it black...

I know the feeling, except different end of the tempature spectrum. One day it was way too hot for me, and of course, that was the day we had to go wire up some rooftop heating/cooling units. Black rubber roof + 100 temp = 1 miserable Scotty, the owner of the building brought us up a big pitcher of iced tea and I swear it tasted like the necter of the gods. Hated Ice tea until that day. Still haven't gotten cold enough for that to happen with coffee though.

Ain't that the truth. Some of my best memories from when I was young was doing stuff with my grandparents.

Having the Ruffians close to Grandparents was the number 1 reaason for moving back to Maine. Economy sucks wind, but you cannot put a price on family. Well on second thought I can put a price on it $35000 less income a year and increased expenses for almost everything. LOL :)

That is always a blast. Gotta get that Grandparent time in. Plus Grand mothers are always the best cooks.

Got introduced to Ice Tea by a fellow employee, he wouldn't drink Coke or Pepsi for anything...I always have a jug in the fridge in the Summer and a lot of the time in the Winter too...

It has NEVER happened again with me...

Have to agree that grandmothers are great cooks. It is just too bad that most of the meals she excels at, you can almost hear your arteries harden and clog.
