That is nice! So you enjoy working dispatch? A good friend of mine is working part time as a dispatcher up here right now and he seems to enjoy it as well.
I have that problem times 4 people!
I just have to worry about my wife's and my laundry. It's pretty simple since she has to change into scrubs at work.
It keeps the old gray matter working...Right MJS?? It not as easy as some people think it is...
If I could transfer over I would do it in a heartbeat...However they have their own seniority list and I'd wind up working nights..They are some weird officers on the night trick...
I imagine that the old gray matter is working pretty hard for anyone working dispatch.

Yes it is..At the part time job we only have one person on at night and they dispatch police, fire, and EMS for 2 townships...

Seems a little understaffed for that area.
The townships are side by side and night time is supposed to have less activity...RIGHT...If it gets real busy one of us or the Sgt will come off the road to assist..

Yup, we're doing that seniority thing too and it sucks! I've been there for 4yrs. so I have a looooong way to go! LOL!
We have 4 people during the day and on the eve. shift. Sometimes there are 5, which is nice. Mids runs with a min. of 3, max of 4. We also do PD, EMS and Fire for 2 towns. We have our busy and slow times, but I enjoy it.
