I don't know who wrote the "Song that Gets on Everybody's Nerves", or where it was first sung. I learned it from a couple preteen girls I used to babysit a few years ago. I was driving them somewhere; those girls started singing that song and would NOT shut up! They sang that song for a good fifteen minutes before they got bored - then they switched to "The Song that Never Ends". ARGH!

I read the first 3 Harry Potter books when they hit the top of the sales charts so I'd know what my school students were talking about - then I read the rest of them as they came out. Anything that gets kids who don't like to read to start reading is good with me... and besides, I've always liked that type of book.
