Best skates for beginner, figure or hockey skates?
Figure skates are less expensive, more forgiving and easier to learn on, so for recreational skating, I'd recommend that route.. If you're going to play hockey, go straight for the hockey skates. The last thing you want to do though is play hockey in figure skates.

Rain and 46 degrees.... a week ago..... cold and close to 0 degrees.... in a couple of days....... 20 degrees or lower.....

72 degrees yesterday, 50 right now....
and it's WET....
but alt least it was just windy, nothing really bad....
I sure hope the temps stay above 32....

It's in the high-70's, low-80's in Honolulu...
Sadly, we don't board the plane till noon on April 30th. :(

When I got up this morning was 50
When I got to work it was 40
When I go to lunch it will be 30
When I get home it will be 20
When I get up tomorrow moring it will be in the teens

Good class tonight. Had about 10 new people in the beginners class, and spent most of the intermediate class working on releases and throws of various sorts.
