Geezer, sorry to hear about that accident. I Hope a healing happens for you, even though it may take some time.

We have an active Taoist Tai Chi in the Phoenix area. Best to stay away from that, it has already been discussed
on the tai chi forum as lacking any true tai chi content.

Geezer, sorry to hear about that accident...
Not to worry, it happened back in '77, so I'm used to dealing with it. The only problem is that I can't bend my ankle to flex my knee forward without the heel lifting off the ground.. which means I can't sink my body. This is a problem, but a manageable one in WC. In taiji, it would be too much of an impediment.


On the other hand, in the Eskrima I practice it is no problem at all. In fact the raised heal puts me right into our stance! Check out my rear foot:
