Nothing to do with Obama though. I don't agree with him or his plans, but I wish him all the best.
I don't agree with Obama, but for the sake of my country I wish him much success at the helm.

Never in my life have I decided in the voting booth, but when my six year old daughter looked up at me and asked me to vote for Obama, I saw that she had hope and loved her home. I cast my vote today for her...for myself. I've had eight years of self imposed cynicism and negativity. I'm going to start beleiving again for their sake.

Olivia, you got my vote tonight when I voted for your inspiration.

Same here.

I just hope that its not a 4 year referendum on race and increasing taxation.

If he can bring the country together, then maybe even I will vote for him in 2012. Im not optimistic, but I can hope.

What other choice do we have but to hope? You know what the world is like. You're not going to make a statement. You're just pissing in the wind and hoping it doesn't come back in the form of bullets. I've voted 3rd party before and I've worked to promote 3rd parties at the Grassroots level. It's a game where you know you are going to lose, but you hope you don't lose as badly as before.

The system is rigged. It's broken. I know. Rather then writing Mickey Mouse or other inane thing the box, I'm just going to hope that the right thing gets done this year. And I'm going to make sure that my representatives in congress know what that thing is.

That's my hope and that's my support. It's either that or move out of this country.

All those people who admittedly voted for Obama "Because he is Black" committed an act of racism. Favoring one person over another because of his race is racism, just because it favored a black man this time, does not make it right.
I hope Obama makes good decisions and choices, but, his track record is scary.

taking voting advice from a 6 year old...............I wont comment.

Heh...and that's so much better then the MSM?

Anyway, I put myself out there and told the truth. Fool or not, I'm going to try and hope for something better.

I owe it to myself or to my kids.

Otherwise, I need to move on.

Arizona Proposition 102: Ban on Gay Marriage PASS
California Proposition 8: Ban on Gay Marriage PASS
Florida Amendment 2: Ban on Gay Marriage PASS

Only in America can a nation simultaneously push forward and plunge backwards.

I can only hope that Mr. Obama will be a catalyst for change, for acceptance, in this nation.

I'm not so supprised about Ark, Ari and Flo, doing that, but Cali? Hmm. That one does supprise me.

FOX political commentators are saying that, interestingly enough, that same sex marriage is disliked by minority voters. Especially African American females.

One thing this tells me is that, electoral breakout aside, Obama only won by 5%...only a little more than 4M people out of 107M that voted. That's *not* really a lot. Let's hope he remembers that almost half the people that , over 52M people, voted for someone else. I just hope he remembers that with a little humility. He won the election but I hope he remembers that 52M people found reason not to vote for him. That should give an elected official pause.. "before I remake America in my image... half of them didn't want my image in the first place" He can use the power and prestige of his office to force it through, but I pray he has enough respect for the American people, both those who voted for him and those who voted against, to think better of it.

"Say 'hello' to the new boss, same as the old boss"

Congrats I guess are in order but it's hard to care either way

The closing line from the classic Who song, of course.... but I'm thinking for better or worse, Obama will not at all be the same as the old Bush.

You are perhaps to self critical...Being cynical and skeptical is not the same as being uncaring... if you didn't care, you wouldn't be here.
