Bruce Lee’s dad taught him TaijiJust don’t want to do it…. And frankly, I’m getting fed up with taiji. Came to that realization Hong Kong, looking at Hong Kong Harbor, in close proximity to the statue of Bruce Lee
I knew that. The father if the first viola for the Philadelphia philharmonic taught me. That is if he still is with that symphonyBruce Lee’s dad taught him Taiji
It is a hard fact that the circle of our life gets smaller and smaller the older we get.I still live with my parents. There's a window in between living with your parents so they can look after you, and living with your parents so you can look after them and I missed it. My dad has a heart condition and he cannot lift 200 pound pieces of metal into the lathe any more. When I'm there, all he has to do is walk around and point. My mum has arthritis and she finds it difficult to cook or do household tasks. Not that I'm complaining, I get to live in a much nicer house than I could afford. I love living here- there's not many other places you can still go swimming in the river.
Absolutely, it's an honour to he able to help them back. Sorry to hear about your father. It is a hard fact that the circle of our life gets smaller and smaller the older we get.
Both my parents died young (on average), so I never got to enjoy/embrace the reciprocity of giving back to them in their later years. My dad's last 2-years were Rough (lung cancer at 59), and I did get to care for him a lot but if was far from enjoyable. Memories, but not good ones.
Cherish your time with them. It is truly a gift from God.
You have my sympathies Both my parents died within 11 months in their 60s from cancer. I had to run their small cattle operation and freight brokerage. It was a hard time. Strange paralleling experience. It is a hard fact that the circle of our life gets smaller and smaller the older we get.
