been a long time sense something got me upset enough to what to hit something... but they did it at work today... so I decided it was best to just leave..... I get in less trouble that way
What are they gonna do? Fire you?

Starting a new job on monday. Not at the pay I'd like (In the salary range I decided I'd accept, it's literally the lowest of that), but how the organization works it sounds like they actually segregate the roles properly, and I liked both my boss and his boss in the session we had to get to know each other (after the interview). Hoping it works out better than my previous jobs, and have to get used to a normal 9-5 again rather than the side jobs and extra free time to pursue side projects I've had.

I am starting a new job on Oct. first so I know the feeling. I’m getting a pay raise and will appreciate the change of scenery, but at the price of a longer commute and of course the apprehension of the unknown, and learning the ropes and having to develop new skills again. I think it is a good opportunity and it should pan out well.

I know it is unlikely anyone here will watch these movies, and I posted about them before. But I have now watched Monkey King 1, 2, & 3 twice and although they are all good, I have changed my opinion.
Martial arts wise, Monkey King 1 with Donnie Yen is better. But Monkey King 2 & 3 with Aaron Kwok as the Monkey King has a lot more humor, and I think I now like 2 & 3 better.

I may be doing the same soon, seriously thinking about requesting a transfer to another office

A good 20% of being an artist is knowing how to fix your own chickenups. Martial arts included. I know it's not finished but it's coming on well.

And to you too

If I may ask, just what is your job and who do you work for?
You sound truly miserable, so why not leave?
IT and government, for 30 years.
I am way to close to retirement. Actually could retire now, but I am trying to hold off until spring 2027. Have requested a transfer

There are two companies that make professional standard pens. Rötring means 'red ring', and all of their pens have a red ring on them. 'Blaupunkt' means 'blue dot' and all their pens have a blue dot on them. They have a business rivalry, and it's the most German thing ever.

You'll have to put up with more than the usual amount of off-topic crud from me this evening I'm afraid, I'm going madder with pain, social isolation and boredom

It has been a bad… bad…. BAD…. Memory day. I have forgotten more stuff today than i have in months
