Before you do, for some reason I keep thinking about a car a friend of mine in high school had....for about a month... his father gave it to him as a graduation present.....then he wrapped around a tree

Don't worry, he survived to wreck several other cars...2 more of which were given to him by his father....before he told him he was on his own...

Ah, the Opel GT. I drove an Opel Ascona when I was in Germany. A real piece of crap.

What I really wanted, though, was a 1990 MINI (built at the time by Rover).

Ah, the Opal GT. One of the finest examples of automotive plagiarism ever. :) A nose stolen straight off the Corvette, with a ride height stolen from a 4x4. And an engine stolen from a lawn mower.

I always liked the proportions of the Opel GT better than the corvette. I like smaller cars. Given my choice of cars from that era that were similar, I'd pick a Datsun 240Z. Even a 260Z would be very cool... before they got too big and started getting bloated with options. These cars were pretty clean inside... no frills.

My oldest brother had one that looked a lot like this:

A good friend of mine had one similar, and I should know, that was back when I was a mechanic and he used me for free repair all the time. And it looked a lot like this 240z

Supposed to rain this weekend. If I'm going to grill a steak, it had better be tonight.

My very first car was a gold mustang 2. Got it for next to nothing, and it was barely worth it. :)
