Some people are too funny. They expect to be taken seriously when they type things like "you's" and "ya."

"Internet grammar" has been in our lives for so long now that you would think I would be used to it...but I'm not. I don't know how I can ever get used to the sharp drop in IQ's.

I don't know what's going on around here. o_O

regarding the job, I don't really have a sense of what grade 13 means in the NYS structure, but if you want it, I hope you get it. What does an Agency Program Aide do? Sounds like a staff position. For someone who likes to write, that would be right up your alley.
Nothing to see here, Steve. Move along.

There's a tipping point for grammar. I don't get hung up on it, unless it's so bad I have to work to understand what is meant. Otherwise, does it really matter?

Just to add, in every single post I've ever looked at, where someone is criticizing another person's grammar, there is a typo or grammatical error in that person's post. I'm not saying there won't come a day....

Banana Cake

2 cups cake flour, sifted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup corn oil
1 cup ripe bananas, mashed (approximately 2 bananas)
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/3 cup buttermilk
2 egg yolks

In a large mixing bowl blend together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, corn oil, mashed bananas, vanilla, buttermilk and egg yolks. Make meringue (recipe follows) to fold into batter.

Meringue

2 egg whites
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup granulated sugar

In a separate bowl beat ingredients together to stiff peaks. Fold meringue into batter.

Bake in two 9" round tins

(this will make a four layer round cake)

Pour batter into two greased and floured 9" round pans. Bake at 325° for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from oven to cool on a rack. Cut each in half horizontally to make a total of four layers.

Place one layer on plate, spread with whipped filling (recipe below). Add the second layer, do the same and add sliced banana to this layer. Add the third layer, spread with whipped cream filling. Top with the final layer and frost the top and sides with whipped filling; sprinkle with chopped pecans and serve.

I couldn't decide whether to mark that "like", "useful", or "informative". There wasn't a "tasty" rating available. Thanks!

Now, see, that's what I'm talkin' about! People put up pics and great descriptions of all kinds of scrumptious things. And rarely a recipe. Nice.

I love Vegas. When I was driving tractor trailers back and forth, that was my favorite place to have an overlay in. What a wonderful, vibrant city.
