Good morning MT..... on a cold Sunday morning in the Adirondacks
Cold here, as well, Xue: 18F at about 9AM. That's well below our seasonal norm, and guarantees our snow won't go away for a couple more days (tomorrow will almost hit 32F). I expect we'll see a plow on Wednesday, when the snow actually is melting.

There's nothing "classic" or collectible about a '99 Vette. I wouldn't do it to a numbers matching '63 split window. But I'm not into the whole chalk mark restoration thing. I drive the snot out of my car (it's got 127,000 miles on it so far) and modify it to boost performance (factory it was 345HP at the flywheel, right now it's 815HP or so at the flywheel). I've also modified the body in a number of ways for both appearance (I can't stand the pop up headlights/air brakes) and performance.
In a perfect world, I'd pull the driveline and suspension out of my '99 and stuff it into a '71 or '72 body. There's actually a company that makes a frame with the mounts already on it to mate the C3 body with the C5/C6 suspension and driveline.
I'd start with one that wasn't numbers matching, of course, to avoid being lynched by collectors.

Yeah, I like the idea of taking a car you like and adding some of the stuff you wish it had. A mix of aesthetics and convenience. Been thinking about doing that with a 2000 Mercedes E320 (for some reason I really like the look of those years).

Went to the Seahawks v Lions game yesterday with a neighbor of mine. Had a great time, but man, it was cold. Fun game to see. I think there were maybe 20 Lions fans in the entire place.

Sounds like fun. Glad I wasn't there, all the same, Steve.

It is cold then flurry the windy, blows snow away, then cold, then flurry, then blow snow away....kind of like the conditions you have in tundra development. Tonight it will be 0F and then tomorrow flurry....windy....blow snow away.....tundra.

We have been lucky, there has been this horseshoe shape around us on the weather maps. West, South and East get buried with snow, 6 inches to 2 feet and we get the tundra effect.

I'll take 7.5" of snow over running out of F's any day, Xue. Keep warm, bro.

In that previous post, I was just thinking of the fact that people who don't like Wing chun keep posting on the Wing Chun board.

I don't get it. How can you have that much free time? lol

To tell you that the Native Kung Fu is better than your stuff?
and that you can get that belt for 2599 USD, and they TRUST you to do the workouts on your own, honor system and all....

Why not? It was awesome. I went with a friend and three kids who are playing on the Seattle thunderbirds hockey team. Two Canadians and a Dane. It was fun anyway, but they were so pumped to see an NFL game, and centurylink field is a great place to watch football.

Too cold for this Southerner, my friend.

I'm with you. I fully expect the center I teach at to announce it's closed, so no class tomorrow. What part of NC are you in? (I'm south of Asheville.)

We're in the Triangle, didn't get much snow, just enough for the kids to have some fun with it. Good news is that NCSU cancelled classes today, so I get to be lazy.....

We got a pretty good amount - 7.5" - here in Hendersonville. It has stayed cold (may make it to 32F today), so it's all still here, except a few areas where traffic cleared the roads. Our road is usually plowed 3-4 days afterward, so I'm expecting the plow to visit tomorrow or Wednesday. We walked the road yesterday, and large sections are 1-2" of solid ice. Just staying home to avoid the mess today.

Mr Xue's posts made me think of this:
