I didn't even try, I went straight for the biker look and kept it until I hit my late 20s :D

High school was the 70's... I had the feathered hair, choker, "silk" shirts... go watch any music video by the Bee Gees and you'll see.

Yes, yes it was, High school was the 70s...and I know who the Bee Gees were...... but I was listening to Aerosmith, Led Zepplin, Judas Priest, Rush, Jethro Tull and Queen

Me too. But disco ruled... briefly. And in hindsight, it was still too long.

Oh, and I had platform shoes, too.
And a leisure suit.

You did too. Admit it.

I've been watching Manchester by the Sea for over an hour now. So wanted to like it. Yes, it's well acted, beautifully shot, but...

It's like watching a puppy drown, then getting a toothache. And it's boring, even to me. (and I'll watch pretty much anything)
Can't believe all the critical acclaim it's received.

I saw that it was getting nominations, but have no clue what it's about....
Since i only watch one , two movies tops a year I am thinking Assassins creed with the kid, and Hidden figures. possibly by myself....

I would if I did, but I didn't.... I decided early on if I could not impress the young ladies...I'd scare em'...thus the biker look :D

I had a leisure suit, too. I was about 10 years younger, so it was cute on me.

The "Disco Era" for those who weren't old enough yet to experience it, was a musical, but more poignantly, a brief sociological fad/era of complete debauchery and cocaine driven, unbridled sexual deviancy in the mid to late 1970's.

Landsdowne Street in Boston and Club 54 in NYC were the stomping grounds of those of us who resided on the East Coast. It's where we went after the dojo on Thursday nights. I'm pretty damn sure all of us from those days will end up in the darkest depths of hell.

Good, we'll probably enjoy the down time.

Late 70s my girlfriend was in college in Boston and dragged me to Landsdowne street all the time. Now you've been there, picture the clientele in most of those clubs, and now picture in the middle of that there stands a 6'1" biker (complete with long hair, beard, mustache, black leather jacket, jeans, boots and wallet with chain) who would not even be noticed in your typical biker bar, on Revere beach or in Saugus, of the time..... I was that guy :D

So, you just fit right in, eh?

Yup, just like this blonde haired guy did years later in Beijing in all the places my wife (native Chinese) took me to that tourists do not go...only locals.
You have a real talent for just slipping in unnoticed don't you? Actual ninja skills?
