You could have everything perfectly correct, it is just that sometimes Google Translate does direct translations and it can get pretty humorous at times. As for Russian, I once had a Russian professor in college and I work with a couple Russians... Beyond that I have no clue about the language
My wife's first language is Russian. I've taught her more French (my distant second language) than I've learned Russian. She won't even teach me to cuss.

My wife's first language is Mandarin and she wanted me to not use it at all when her mother lived with us...My wife's exact words were "You will be fighting with her all the time" But my wife claims she does not know cuss words in Mandarin, but she is rather quick to through out Chinese metaphors.

Went to nutcracker today at pacific northwest ballet. Was fun deslite the drunk lady on my right.

I saw a guy get thrown out of a Pavarotti concert, because he got drunk (they had the beer stands open) and was yelling at the stage.

I wonder if being less communicative is a common trait of the oldest. My older brother keeps less in contact with family than me, too.

That would be something to see. We had a group of three very young girls in front of us, who were extremely enthusiastic. It was cute at first, but got a little old. "Oh my god!! The FAIRIES! I LOVE THEM!!!"

The lady next to me was bad, though. She literally had not filter between her brain and her mouth. At one point, she was humming along to the music, and otherwise had a sort of infrequent commentary.

Nothing to the point that it ruined the day or anything. Still a beautiful production. I think we're going to try and find Baryshnikov's version to watch. .

It was something to see, Steve. He was yelling "woo" at the stage, like he was at a NASCAR event.

He contacts the youngest all the time.....it is Mrs Xue and myself he does not contact all that often. I tend to get calls when there is a problem or after a particularly hard test. Mrs Xue gets calls when...well she calls him...that is the only way there is contact...and oh...changed his e-mail address and did not tell anyone...this explains why I am not getting responses to e-mails

However he did call a little while ago....heading home around 2:00....it will be a 4 hour trip....going to stop at a local mall to do some shopping on his way home....seemed rather shocked when I told him he would likely not get near the place....and then asked this question...."Why...does it have something to do with Christmas?" ahhh to be a clueless teenager again :D

Well...2 office parties and too many leftovers near my desk and you know what..... Acid Reflux has returned....time to eat right again.

I am not comfortable at parties or with large groups of people for that matter, but I managed to survive 2. However during the 1st one, the biggest one, I realized that there are some parties and large groups I have no problem with at all. One is family, no surprise there, the other is Chinese people which may be a little surprising and the 3rd is a group of martial artists...go figure....

I bet google knows them all.

I learned all the cuss words ill never need from my grandfather. He spent a lot of time working on old cars or chopping down trees. Occasionally he might drop something on his foot or hit his head on something. And two or three words might slip out. He always would give candy to not repeat any of what he said to grandma

so you started dropping stuff on his foot?

Meh, Google might get them right, but there's apparently a lot of idiom in insults and proper use. I don't want to sound like Spock in The Voyage Home.

Merry christmas, חנוכה שמח (happy hanukkah), joyful Kwanzaa, and festive yule!
