After sending that photo to my friends back east, Karma bit me right on the backside. It's cold here, rainy, I have on flannel lined jeans, a wool hat and hooded sweatshirt. Power has been out all day- no coffee, no stove, no damn football.
That'll teach me.
Hell, even I had football today, Buka.

Allergies are no fun today! Had a stopped up nose all day because im too stubborn to take allergy medicine. A smart person might have learned something but not me considering I probably wont take it tomorrow either...

With 4 dogs and 2 cats, if I don't take allergy medicine, I'm just done.

I know people will think I'm crazy, but I like being place like this in the winter

There's a lot to be said of the beauty of winter. If only it wasn't so damn cold.

One February, about 25 years ago, I got tired of the cold, it had been in the single digits an below zero for about a month so I decided to take a week off and go to Florida. It was in the 70s in Florida and a nice respite from the cold....but when I was flying back I was the only one on the plane with boots, long pants, a flannel shirt and a heavy jacket. Everyone in Orlando airport and everyone on the plane looked at me like I was crazy. When we got off the plane in NY at 3AM to -20F, to a malfunctioning Jet bridge, and had to disembark the old fashion way by stairs and walking across the tarmac to the airport.... they understood what I was dressed that way..... and you know what....I had this strange feeling of being happy to be back in the cold

I like that, too. We mostly get cold rain. When we get snow (and we do get one or two good snows most years), I'm quite happy about it. 3 days in a row of near-freezing drizzle (or worse, freezing rain), and I'll happily swap places with Drop Bear for a bit.

Нет, это был просто глюк

That is exactly what a RUSSIAN hacker would say Donald...or should we be calling you COMRADE DONALD!!! HMMMMMM!!!!!!!

Я не понимаю по русски мне очень горячо.

(The only thing I can say fluently in Russian. I'm not at all sure that's typed correctly.)

Fun with Google Translate

"Я не понимаю по русски мне очень горячо". translates to "I do not understand me very warmly by Russian."

That however does not mean you are typing it wrong, You should see some of the hilarious Google Translations of Chinese....

I have the order right, just not sure if I got the spelling right. It means, "I don't understand Russian very well."

You could have everything perfectly correct, it is just that sometimes Google Translate does direct translations and it can get pretty humorous at times. As for Russian, I once had a Russian professor in college and I work with a couple Russians... Beyond that I have no clue about the language
