If you are under a GM which one and why. If you had the chance to be under another GM which one would it be and why?
My instructor is a VII dan which, in the ITF, is a Master. You don't get "Grand Master" status until you hit IX dan (and I've heard Grand Master Choi, Jung Hwa say he doesn't really like that term since the Korean Sasung Nim implies that one is a sage or a saint). My instructor is phenomenally astute when it comes to Taekwon-Do and he's still going to seminars and training with
his seniors to improve his knowledge.
That being said, I've been privileged to train at seminars under several great Martial Artists such as Gen. Choi, Hong Hi; Grand Master Hwang, Kwang Sung; Grand Master Charles Sereff and Grand Master Choi, Jung Hwa as well as Master Robert Wheatley and Master Parm Rai. I'd love to be able to train with Grand Masters Rhee, Ki Ha; Nam, Tae Hi; and Park, Jong Soo and C.K. Choi sometime, as well.
As for non-Taekwon-Do training I sure wouldn't mind training under Lim, Hyun Soo or Kim, Yun Sang in Hapkido.
Pax,
Chris
