Morning all - Drac, yep, my fiance and I have two horses. Just got a new truck and horse trailer for them too. Last night's adventure was tying ribbon on their electric fence. We just mowed the length so that it works again. Her horses stay in the pasture without it, but her sister's won't....so we let the third horse loose last night. The first time we did this experiment, with the electric fence NOT working, the horse busted through and had a good old time all over the place!
That is excellent..I love to ride but its hard to find a decent place near me..A lady friend taught me to ride and let me ride hers..The only problem was that she never told me that she had trained the horse for barrel racing..When I asked how to stop she said grab a handful of mane and say "Whoa"..However when I did my knees banged his side and according to his training that meant "GO" ..It wasn't pretty..

Unfortunately, I still don't know how to ride that well. I am still kind of going where the horse wants to go! We're working on that though!!! She does Dressage, so the horses are used to going slow.
Chris - yep, all settled in, just made an offer on a house and are waiting for acceptance. I'll let you know when I go to my new school....I can't wait!

I grew up with horses as my dad was passionate about all of his horses. I still love to ride them and when we were in the Grand Canyon we had the opportunity to go on a really nice ride. However, they are just two much work for me to have some myself.
