Sorry about that. Silat, IMO, is the great equalizer (minus, of course, firearms).

I'm enjoying it a lot even though its going very slowly. It is not an easy art to learn but...it's definitely worth the effort.Job is going very well. Company is doing well, boss is very happy with my work, and there's talk of an IPO later in the year.

Jobs ok - I have a very supportive boss. Painting's going well (landscapes, not portraits), but I have some personal issues on my plate taking up my time and energies.
I'm glad you chose Silat. IMO, it is one of the only Asian arts where a first year student is the equal, or even better, of a first year boxer or wrestler. Of course, the Asian arts can take a person to a more rounded level than boxing, but it does tend to take much longer.
Oh, that can of worms again eh? Silat over Boxing/wrestling? More well rounded? OH YEAH! Well, MMA.................

Now now...the comparison was for first year students 
I have to say I was impressed with Silat even though it is way different than what I'm used to. When I could resist my training partner who outweighs me by 100 pounds....that got my attention.
That and my tiny Filipina teacher who is my age but is so strong she could beat the bejeezus out of me...I just may end up with fighting skills one of these days

Oh yes, can't wait. Hair doesn't really come into it though as its under a hard hat all day. What worries me is the prospect of being blown overboard! Just have to hang on to one of the big guys I reckon!!
