I don't feel too bad now, but I'm with you there on moving to warmer climates, just as long as it's not too warm/ humid.

I lived down in Texas for a couple of years and to tell the truth, It just didn't feel right. My younges brother was in the Air Force and spent 6 years between Biloxi, MS and Las Vegas, with a couple of 6 month stints to the desert over in the Middle East, and he felt the same way. I guess it is all a matter of what you get used to.

I've either visited or lived in several places through out the US, and even been out of the country. Some places wouldn't be so bad if I was a little better prepared mentally. Of course, most of my travels were when I was a lot younger. I've been near Victoria, Tx, and thought it was the flattest place ever! Keep in mind, I've lived just outside of Memphis and also in S.C. before hand.

I know what you mean. I was born and raised in Michigan, lived in Texas for a couple of years and am now on my 17th year in Maine. Been to all but 4 of the States and most of the Canadian Provences. There is a vast difference between regions and even big differences within a small area. Without the right frame of mind it would be impossable to fit into another area. Where I am now, if I go just a couple of miles North I am out of the English speaking portion of the US. 10 or 12 miles further North and French is the primary language with English as a second language that some of the older people don't even speak at all. This is in the US! I was not prepared for that when I moved here originally.

If you want flat, head out to Iowa and Kansas. I think that is where they go to test builders levels for accuracy. :)

I've had people ask me if I'm from Pittsburg. I really don't have much of a southern accent, or even that "West Va." accent. I had friends pick on me because of how I'd pronounce certain words. Also, since I'm so close to D.C., there's a sizeable spanish- speaking crowd- more so than what I've seen as I head out towards Ohio.

Well, goodnight to those who are off to bed (lucky you). Hello to everyone else who will hang in there with me.

Yeah. I tried "teaching" again in the kempo section just now.....pointless. So, I'll hide here. Chalk up another one to my ignore list.

Anybody in here? In the shadows? Anywhere? Isn't 3rd shift so cool! members go all day trying to get this thread to themselves, and can't! Ha Ha!

Hiya Chris! How are you?

I feel terrible....I never thanked you for your kind e-mail wishing me a Happy Birthday last month. I really do appreciate it :)

How are things across the pond?

O.k> I'm back. Arguing with some homeless, after a nice convo. to start with. One tried to bang out a member of the mayor's council. Felt like I was in the Kempo forum again. Nice convo, then fighting.--LOL

I work here because it's an empty building, nothing happens overnight, nice and quiet... Right?
