MJS my friend I am doing great with a candy induced buzz!

Oh yes...I'm sure I'll get all of the left overs from tonight as well! LOL! And of course, what'll end up happening, is that everyone that I work with will bring in their left overs, so needless to say, there will be no escaping the candy.

Yup, holidays mean extra time working cardio! Soooo easy to put the lbs on and sooo hard to take off.

Okay guys and gals, heres the 100 dollar question (well more like 30 but who's counting).

Should I go out tonight?

Yes, I made the cardinal error of buying candy I like... bad me, bad me!

I did as well, but I made the last kids to stop by my house one happy little camper. Dumped in the whole kettle full of candy and wished him a good night, you should have seen his face, looked like he stumbled into El Dorado. That way it isn't in the house for me to eat.

It's only 7:00 pm in Denver... and there's no definite "last" time. Anything left tonight will go to work tomorrow, to be given to the office secretaries, who will leave it out for anyone who wants it.

Ah yes, living in civilization. I almost forgot about kids trickling through for hours on end. In our neighborhood, the begging, oops, the trick-or-treating starts about 5:00 and stops almost at 7:00 on the dot, year after year. I mean in a town with 500 people there are just so many kids you can muster up to even go, then they all want to get out as soon as it is pitch dark. This year was a banner year for our little side street, we had 25 kids stop (that is double what we usually get.)

It snowed quite a bit here yesterday and it has decreased our trick and treaters. We have only had 29 so far tonight.

I've had 6, in groups of 1 or 2. There are a lot of kids in the neighborhood, but many parents will only let their kids go to houses where they know the people; since I don't have kids, I don't know many of the parents, and smaller kids (and their parents) tend to pass by my house.

When I was a kid in Wisconsin (near Milwaukee), trick-or-treating was only legal from 1-5 on the Saturday or Sunday closest to Halloween. I was 14 before I went trick-or-treating after dark. I've always been somewhat surprised that I've never seen that anywhere else. It had some disadvantages - mostly, we rarely got to go out on Halloween - but it was warmer (important in Wisconsin), and if you got to someone's house near 5, they usually dumped most of what they had left in your bowl.

That's ok, they made up for it around my house, it was unusually warm here and the streets were full. As a matter of fact they were bringing them in by the minivan loads

Jeez ... besides my own kids and their homies, I've had a grand total of ... 9.

None here...but, there aren't a lot of kids that live in my complex.

Happy Hallowe'en everyone!
