That's kinda what I'm thinking...I hardly kick at all anymore anyways, and when I do, they are pretty low.

But how to modify my rolling?

That is a tall order indeed. Do breakfalls bother your hip? The reason I ask is because when someone is taking me down I make a determination if I wish to roll or breakfall. Rolling away is preferred but sometimes I just choose the breakfall. Many people still train in MA and BBT without as much rolling and work their breakfalls instead. It is hard not to want to roll but at the same time you need to be able to train, live, survive and be healthy.

I have one student that had knee surgery and he is still not do rolls at this point but has done breakfalls. We just work around his injury.

I am done working for the day!

I just have kiddo things to do but the rest of today is geared toward family, fun and of course martial training. :samurai:

Breakfalls aren't bad at all. Like I said above, I'm being told that my left thigh should never be more than paralell to the ground.

I plan on talking it over with my BBT instructor come thursday.

I am sure that you guys will work it out. I have to run, see you all later on.

There HAS to be a way to work around it..I started in the MA after a serious industrial accident..Sensei shifted the emphasis of the training off of kicking and into hand and arms strikes...
