@Xue Sheng nope you have posted a rather meaty piece of music see you can take that as proof that you are compos mentis.. Waste no money on psychiatric evaluation, I am qualified Doctor of SOUND and I declare you fit and well.. no do not answer me back just turn it up and go hit a wooden dummy until he begs you to stop haha..
Scandinavian indie punk see what I have done there.. picked something that is totally not what you would listen to or probably like haha.. Oh I am losing my touch at this game pffft..

~~~~
@celtic_crippler oh man that is a great piece of straight-up songwriting right there! Something tells me that I know that music and but he is not a familiar name?? Hmm.. I like that it sounds wonderfully American I think, if there is such a thing? :) Oh here is one for you too back from like um.. the old days [1980s haha..]
~~~~

@Cryozombie.. hey why are you being so sullen as to spill your lyric all over the place and then leave without a word haha?? Well I will give you my fav song of the last months just to say hello
will you not say hello to me?

~~~~
@FierySquidFace haha where did you get that username! Oh RATM = seminal, wow fantastic song +1.. and but I cannot give you kudos for that since it they are like just the best band ever and that is an easy option like choosing Mahler as the master of the sombre.. What else you got?? gimme gimme haha.. Oh here I have one for you.. I am a big fan of these lovely guys they have been away and are back.. hope you like
Yes, somehow I knew that you would kick it up to include the little miss. Okay. You asked for it.
(Apparently, Robbie wanted to write some absolutely filthy things for Kylie to sing, but when he met her just couldn't bear to have such lyrics breathed out of such a sweet, delicate pair of lips...)
Quite possibly my favorite FNM song. :)
C&W? here is tasty neo-C&W right here from the great man himself.. A+
My favorite Man in Black song has to be "Ring of Fire."
I love the Johnny Cash remakes too...
Here's my favorite...but be warned... it makes me kinda meloncholy when I listen to it so...
I hurt myself today
To see if I still feel
I focused on the pain
The only thing that's real
Beautiful, J, but I'm going to trump it with this (well, it trumps it if you're Australian!):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8CzFVm1Yio&feature=related
Enjoy one of Australia's greatest balladeers in the hands of simply one of the greatest.
I'll trump you both with the King of Country Western Troubadours, baby!
Ah'm a' buildin' me a rocket ship
To go where womerns don't give no lip
Ah'm a blastin' off
Baby Ah'm a Venus Bound!
Oh wow I am thrilled that you are down with the Killah Beezzzz and their detuned wonderment haha.. Yes please!! See now I am surprised you can pick a favourite out of all the affiliates?? My fav WTC tracks are always Bring Da Ruckus and Brooklyn Zoo and but since I cannot really post them up here, this is a close second :) This would be a contender for my ring entrance song.. great jump rope choon too! A little present for you :) Jenna x
It's not that hard to pick one out. You've posted 'the mystery of chessboxin', last verse is by Masta Killa. His only verse on the whole album (as he was in jail). To me it stood out as someone who was already mature and growing more than the rest.
Apart from that I like his workstyle, his seriousness and dedication to the music. Plus his 2 albums that are pure gold.
Thanks for the clip, truelly enjoyed it! Made me put the album on once again.
Cool to know more people enjoy the sometimes abstract world of Wu Tang music! :)
and for ring entrance, I have a top three:
1. Nasty - Submission, would drive me crazy
2. Irate - Vendetta
3. Slayer - Raining Blood
all of those, would drive me berserk. Maybe it's good that I don't do any competition sports anymore. :)
As The Sleeper Awakes
Soilwork
The decision is mine, will I remain the same
The cost of getting forced into something that used to be a game
The fragments of joy, the fragments of faith
I can still recall when I feel that way...
I'm present, I just know
If there's anything to regret
I would've been told
Counting hours, counting days
Will you listen? will you pray?
Is there anyone who can get it done?
Taking me back to the place that I once belonged
What if tomorrow was gently taken
Away from me, away from me...
Awaking the memories...
Was I meant to get old...
Repressing the agonies...
Start breaking the mold
[Chorus:]
And the faith, comes back to life
Still waiting for, a constant thing to react
But I will save myself some of the time
Keep aiming for, a constant thing to react
As the sleeper awakes
Mesmerized by the memories that walk by my side
Shelter comes easy
As soon as sadness sets in
By an impulse the search will begin
Searching, collecting all the things
I possess a detecting, the insight I've earned in distress
Learning, finally I know how to breathe
Turning, turning away from the greed...
So unpleasant, it strikes whenever I call
So relentless, as I fall
A grand awakening, will kill it all
Nevertheless, I'll be my own precious god...
I can't resist, the things I've missed
And I'll make sure that it will last the time, I will insist
What if tomorrow, was taken
Away from me, away from me
Awaking the memories...
Was I meant to get old...
Repressing the agonies...
Start breaking the mold
(Start breaking the mold)
[Chorus:]
And the faith, comes back to life
Still waiting for, a constant thing to react
But I will save myself some of the time
Keep aiming for, a constant thing to react
As the sleeper awakes
@fierysquidface haha where did you get that username!
I came up with the name one day while trying to think of a unique and unused user i.d. for something, liked it, and have been using it ever since. And it's never taken! lol
I'll post some videos up in a day or so. I can't do it now, as I am at work, and certain social networking and video sites like youtube are blocked, preventing me from even watching the videos posted herein...:mad:
Training during the day, work at night... not much time for surfing the net except here at work...
This one hurts, but is slightly more relevant to current events:
"Dry Your Eyes"
The Streets
In one single moment your whole life can turn 'round
I stand there for a minute starin’ straight into the ground
Lookin’ to the left slightly, then lookin’ back down
World feels like it’s caved in – proper sorry frown
Please let me show you where we could only just be, for us
I can change and I can grow or we could adjust
The wicked thing about us is we always have trust
We can even have an open relationship, if you must
I look at her she stares almost straight back at me
But her eyes glaze over like she’s lookin’ straight through me
Then her eyes must have closed for what seems an eternity
When they open up she’s lookin’ down at her feet
Dry your eyes mate
I know it’s hard to take but her mind has been made up
There’s plenty more fish in the sea
Dry your eyes mate
I know you want to make her see how much this pain hurts
But you’ve got to walk away now
It’s over
So then I move my hand up from down by my side
It's shakin’, my life is crashin’ before my eyes
Turn the palm of my hand up to face the skies
Touch the bottom of her chin and let out a sigh
‘Cause I can’t imagine my life without you and me
There’s things I can’t imagine doin’, things I can’t imagine seein’
It weren't supposed to be easy, surely
Please, please, I'm begging you, please...
She brings her hands up towards where my hands rested
She wraps her fingers round mine with the softness she’s blessed with
She peels away my fingers, looks at me and then gestures
By pushin’ my hand away to my chest, from hers
Dry your eyes mate
I know it’s hard to take but her mind has been made up
There’s plenty more fish in the sea
Dry your eyes mate
I know you want to make her see how much this pain hurts
But you’ve got to walk away now
It’s over
And I’m just standin’ there, I can’t say a word
‘Cause everythin’s just gone
I’ve got nothin’
Absolutely nothin’
Tryin’ to pull her close out of bare desperation
Put my arms around her tryin’ to change what she’s sayin’
Pull my head level with hers so she might engage in
Look into her eyes to make her listen again
I’m not gonna f**kin’, just f**kin’ leave it all now
‘Cause you said it'd be forever and that was your vow
And you’re gonna let things simply crash and fall down
You’re well out of order now, this is well out of town
She pulls away, my arms are tightly clamped round her waist
Gently pushes me back and she looks at me straight
Turns around so she’s now got her back to my face
Takes one step forward, looks back, and then walks away
Dry your eyes mate
I know it’s hard to take but her mind has been made up
There’s plenty more fish in the sea
Dry your eyes mate
I know you want to make her see how much this pain hurts
But you’ve got to walk away now
It’s over
Hey all. Busting out here with a song that has caught my attention yet again. Opera- Mozarts music- From the marriage of Figaro
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3BthgYwbIU&feature=related
English Translation of "Non piu andrai"
You won't go any more, amorous butterfly,
Fluttering around inside night and day
Disturbing the sleep of beauties,
A little Narcissus and Adonis of love.
You won't have those fine feathers any more,
That light and jaunty hat,
That hair, that brilliant air,
That womanish red color [in your face]!
Among soldiers, by Bacchus!
A huge moustache, a little knapsack,
Gun on your back, sword at your side,
Your neck straight, your nose exposed,
A big helmet, or a big turban,
A lot of honour, very little pay.
And in place of the fandango dance
A march through the mud it will be.
Over mountains, through valleys,
With snow, and heat-stroke,
To the music of trumpets,
Of bombards, and of cannons,
Which, at every boom,
Will make bullets whistle past your ear.
Cherubino, go to victory!
To military glory!
I don't think London and Bruges are so far away from each other :)
They are big in Belgium, most of their shows are sold out. Vocals just never caught on...
so I'm not being sarcarrrstic. :)
I didn't know leftfield, but I have been checking them on youtube. They have some good stuff! Thanks! (and I was already born, but mostly listening to Phil Collins with my dad).
If you like experimental music... try this:
http://www.myspace.com/amenra
Best song on it is Am Kreuz in my opinion.. It's dark, gloomy and full of pain. :)
Bruges? I love Bruges!! And great that you and your pops shared a little Phil Collins, not a single thing wrong with that my friend! And thank you for Amenra.. I am one of those people that truly enjoys getting band requests on Myspace.. well mostly :) I had not heard of these guys before and but yes your description is certainly accurate! Thank you :) Me, I like my "experimental" I know what you mean by that.. I like mine like this :) Though perhaps I am not so full of pain as you my dear xJOHNx
.. with a suitably oddball and artistically warped vid :)
