Felt like crap today, so I went all in on my workout. I've now moved onto the 30kg bell for single arm clean and press and 40kg for dumbbell swings. It's a little mood and ego boost

Its amazing what a workout will do for both the mind and body. I always feel so much better after I train. It’s actually easy. If you’re in pushup shape and can touch your hands behind your back.If I see some one actually do this I’m going to be willing to travel to train with them. I feel like I’m imagining a different thing or that there is a good joke coming. Especially since this is coming from @Buka.

Prayers for a fast recovery. It's always annoying when you tweak something and have to wait for it to heal. I sprained my elbow at the beginning of the week and have been taking it easy too.Ankle injury. Sod it, I'm taking the week off. Maybe I'll get lucky, quite often when I've taken days or up to a week off I've come back stronger than I was

It’s going around, I overdid it and injured my left hip/groin, been limping for a week so now my right knee hurts. Jeez. Yup, that sounds familiar. I have a theory that while my muscles and heart can handle the heat, the rest of my body needs some kind of preparation to let them do their thing more effectively.It feels like every time I start to get into a good groove; I tweak or pull something. It happens. I don't drink nearly as much as I used to, but when I did I when off the rails a number of times. I cut back because I got sick of feeling like crap the next day and basically being useless.I went off the rails totally last night. Drank a bottle of Jameson's and made and ate an unreasonable number of grilled cheese sandwiches. Welp, time to just pick myself up and get back with the program.
I find this to be true- if I force myself to get in a quick workout, it helps everything along.@Prince_Alarming Also, I work in corrections and do the overnights. Overnights alone are tough on the body (never mind throwing booze into the mix) Sometimes just getting enough rest is a challenge. Kenpo has actually helped believe it or not. It has given me more energy and has improved my sleep.
