Again cars I do not usually see many of in my area but there seems to be an inordinate number of these today

But I think I figured out what is going on...its track season and all these cars are coming from other places for the races (horse races)

A lot of car clubs will host "track days" too, where they rent out a local race track and people get to come pretend they're Real Race Car Drivers.
