That's a shame - I was looking forward to hearing the progression of that car.

If I had the space to store it, I might have gone for it. But a 1963 Cadillac Eldorado is bloody huge. I'd have to take my car out of the garage and all the shelving out of my side, my tool box and assorted lawn equipment, not to mention the lawn tractor out of the middle of the garage. The only place I have to put all of this in the garage so then all of this would go to Mrs Xue's side of the garage and her car would have to go outside too, my driveway could take it but I hate using my garage for storage and parking my cars outside...hate it even more in January during a blizzard.

Mrs Xue recommended getting one of those big tent type carports for the end of our driveway.... but I just didn't want to deal with it..... and I would want to deal with it less...during a blizzard....when the wind took the tent down.

Now if it were a 1967 Eldorado I would have been had pressed to say no. Heck if this 66 had all its windows an was totally stock I might have gone for it

For me, te hard on to resist would be a mid-60’s Mustang or an early to mid 50’s Corvette. Or even my current car (2000 MB E320, to a much lesser extent.

Well...

I survived a week in the woods surrounded by 9 to 10 year old Webelos Cub Scouts. With significant rainfall the first few days. Got rescued about 20 times from "peanut buttering" (because to actually say help or drown in a training setting just might cause issues with the working guards...) by the kids. Though I think my son wasn't too sure he wanted to rescue me... seemed more interested in hitting me in the head with the throwing bouy... My Cub with leukemia (love that shitty disease!!) got to do everything, including a 6 mile hike. Up a mountain. My son got peed on by a toad, and held turtles... and went out by himself in a "funoe" -- a yellow plastic canoe like boat. And I got to swim while trying to paddle a "funyack" -- same only a kayak. Lots of other cool moments... like my son saluting the Quartermaster (who just graduated, and was commissioned as a US Marine.) The same Quartemaster along with another counselor who comforted and supported my son who was "too homesick to have fun."

Yeah, I'd do it again. Tired as hell, but I'd go back tomorrow...
And here I thought this was the funyak. :p

Just as long as I get my BMW z3 convertible in candy apple red...

Although I will likely never own one, I have always wanted a 1950s Porsche Speedster

Came darn close to buying an old 356 about 30 years ago, back when I was an mechanic. Price was right, needed a little work per the owner, who was eager to sell.... then I did a bit of an inspection and found bondo in the roof....yup, it had been rolled...something the current owner failed to mention....did not buy it

this is a 356

It's actually Opel, and they enjoyed a short run in the US in the late 60s and early 70s. In Europe, Opel sold several models, but the GT is the only one I've ever seen in the USA. I drove an Opel Ascona in Germany for a while, before I got my little Austin MINI.
