Not particularly safe as Yoshimochi Kiyoshi was taken to court for refusing to return it to Usa Jingu. Sadly, he was just let off with a warning. To me, stealing a national artifact was not a light matter.Indeed it is.
The Jisso Enman no Bokuto which belonged to Miyamoto Musashi sensei. It is a national treasure and artifact which is now safely stored at the Usa Jingu in Oita, Kyushu, Japan. The Jisso Enman no Bokuto is passed down in succession through Musashi’s school – Hyoho Niten Ichi-ryu 兵法二天一流, today now under the guidance of Kajiya Takanori Kougen, 12th Soke.
Disclaimer: when translating from old Japanese to modern Japanese to English, meanings can be lost or have multiple meanings to consider. Please keep this in mind. On the Omote it is inscribed 実相円満之兵法 (Jissou enman no Hyoho) which is related to the last words of Musashi sensei’s saying 天仰実相円満之兵法逝去不絶. (Ten o aoguni Jisso enman no Hyoho seikyo ***** taezu) ‘Look up to the sky. Even if I die, my truly perfect Hyoho will never die’.
On the ura it is inscribed a poem which says
寒流帯月澄如鏡 (kanryu tsukiobite sumerukoto
kagamino gotoshi). – ‘In the flow of the cold and clear river. The moon is reflected. It seems to be a mirror.
This talks about what one should have in their heart/mind/spirit when fighting. To have a normal, calm state of mind 平常心 (Heijoshin). So when in the fight, having that feeling of the moon: beautiful clarity, all the time.

Didn’t M.M learn the Jutte from his dad from an early age, the jutte is somewhat shorter than the sword and as defense against sword it require exquisite timing and determination for action, so MM had laid a solid foundation for great(er) skill later on in life, and his early tree climbing activities most certainly developed a strong agile body.

Yes I know, it’s supposed to be a fictionalized story, but I’m not entirely sure of that, no smoke without a fire.

He was a natural. We look for the same in Japanese MA kids when they are in elementary school. Watch them as they grow, and eventually they will end up on your doorstep for a scholarship. They are the ones that are always on your squad after a fight off to choose a team. they won us the nationals "twice".

Musashi promoted Body of a Rock (Iwa no Mi) representing an unmoving, steadfast, and calm mind-body state, similar to a massive, immovable, natural object. It implies having a deeply rooted presence that remains unshaken, fearless, and neutral despite any external distractions or dangers in combat or life. Feet always firmly planted on the ground. We see this in Sumo.

How did this physical state, when you practised Niten, "jive" with Fudōshin and/or Heijōshin?
